Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness for Manufacturing - written to industry standards
In 2006, new EU legislation HACCP was introduced into the UK. HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is intended to control the safety of food throughout all its stages “from farm to fork” and the introduction of this legislation created the need to introduce new food training standards.
The old 'Basic Food Hygiene' training is now no longer available, and has now been combined with HACCP to form the New Food Training Standards. These are called Food Safety Training at levels 1 & 2.
Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness for Manufacturing is intended for:
- New starters
- Individuals working in a manufacturing environment with low risk or packaged food
Duration: Approximately 1 hour.
The course has an introduction and eleven sections of learning. After each section there is an activity which is intended to help re-inforce the understanding and retention of the learning.
